Malkia Kendricks, MSW has 20 years of professional experience including PTSD counseling, mental health clinician, clinical supervision, HIV/AIDS coordinator, substance abuse counselor, residential house manager, and lecturer. She earned her Master’s in Social Work and a certificate in Urban Leadership at Simmons College of Boston, and attended Springfield College where she received her Bachelors Degree. She is a member of the National Association of Social Workers, (NASW) and a board member at AIDS Clinical Trials Group (ACTG), Women of Color Round Table (WOCRT) and the Community Advisory Board (CFAR). Malkia is currently the Director of Women Connecting Affecting Change (WCAC) a drop-in center for women at risk in the Dorchester and Greater Boston area. She is an innovative visionary leader who has forged links with various organizations with comparable missions to assist in providing necessary services to the target population. In her role as Director she has developed and implemented strategic ways in which to serve the target population on a minimal budget. As a Clinician, Malkia is constantly seeking creative ways to implement trauma informed services, engage, assess, and refer women to treatment, shelter, medical and mental health care services.

Peer Outreach Educator
Ann Riley is an intricate part of the outreach team as the Outreach Educator she motivates and inspires its members. She has been part of WCAC since 1999 when the agency moved to the Blue Hill Avenue area. Ann brings her unique skills, engaging and enlisting new members to the women's drop-in center. She not only reaches women through outreach services but also volunteers her time within the drop-in center to support drop-in center staff.
